A situation that follows the Latin merchants at Alexandria: papal licences, the Sultan’s favour, the state galleys, rivals’ fondachi, the Sultan’s tariff on pepper, and the endings that closed the trade: a crusade, a change of master in Egypt, or the Cape route.
The situation changes conditions (trade offices, maps, opinions, merchant power, tariffs). It never moves goods by script: the trade engine decides what flows.
